Our Commitment

No greenwashing. Just the facts.

As one of the founding members of the Sustainable Furniture Council in 2006, we're dedicated to continually improving our materials and manufacturing process to reducing negative impacts on the environment. We believe in eco-friendly furniture for a better living space, constantly improving our practices to simplify sustainability for you.

Built for Good

Frames

Rowe frames are crafted for lasting durability with 7-layer kiln-dried hardwood laminate and solid maple, precision-milled to resist twisting, warping, and cracking. Reinforced with mortise-and-tenon or double-dowel joints and corner blocks, they come with a limited lifetime warranty. Made from formaldehyde-free, domestically sourced lumber, our frames support sustainable forestry practices and meet the standards of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and/or Forestry Initiative (SFI).

Fabric Selection

Offering an array of sustainable, upcycled/recycled fabrics, and PFAS (Forever Chemical) Free performance fabrics.

Cushions

Rowe's cushions use CertiPUR-US certifed foam. Our foam includes plant-based renewables, replacing petroleum-based materials, and is both PBDE-free and flame-retardant-free.

Downblend cushion features a mix of partially plant-based foam, duck feather, and down, enclosed in unbleached cotton ticking.

Hardware

We use water-based glues, recycled springs, and internal structure components.

Springs are produced from recycled iron ore, and our nails are uncoated using a water-based lubricant.

Landfill Diversion

We’re not perfect, but we’re working every day to do better—for our planet, our people, and a better tomorrow.
